• Minutes from 10/3/24 accepted (Gail motioned; Lisa carried)
Treasurer’s Report: (Gail motioned; Lisa carried)
• Christine needs a category for book programs/donations for financial tracking
• Christine will print reports in an excel spreadsheet
• Christine will work on a proposed budget for 2025
Old Business:
• Taxes: Jennifer has reached out to Kathy regarding our non-profit status. Jennifer will ask for an estimate to do taxes. Christine reached out to someone to help and didn’t get a response for 6 months.
• Khan Family Estate: Quote from Dan Kemmerer in Sept. Looking to build a porch next year. Jennifer will be talking with the American Decking Company for another quote as needed. Staff looking to extend the library to the back of the property. The board still suggests the porch idea as originally discussed.
• Library Sign: no update. Jennifer will continue to look into the Whitney Titus Fund.
• Autism Board: Project is still being worked on.
• Linda and Gail will do the B&N fundraiser in April.
Director’s report:
• Book Giveaways: Beth looking to send out 1,000 books before Kindergarten (WAO and Head Start). Lisa will help send home flyers. Looking to get more signups.
• Holiday Hours: Closed Xmas Eve and Xmas Day. Close at 3pm NYE.
• Tech Soup: Website gives discounts to tech programs
• Book Club Holiday Party: Held at Linda’s House
• Clubs: Kicked off first “Stitch and Sip”. Next event is December 11th. No Art class this month. Tech Talk 12/20
• Tree Lighting/Book Reading: Jennifer read a story and dressed in character. Event was well attended!
• Diversity Program: Jenn attended the WAO BOE meeting to discuss ways to connect the library and the school on cultural diversity programs.
