Secretary’s report:
• Minutes from 6/16/25 accepted (Michelle motioned; Gail carried)

• New reports shared and reviewed
• Jenn will reach out with Christine regarding categories of “custodial/repair” supplies being moved under building and grounds
Old Business:
• Trainee videos: Jen will look for the prerecorded videos and send the links so the board can get our training videos done.
• Porch Construction Status: preliminary approval completed for grant. The deadline for final application is the end of August. (Lengthy and time consuming process. Approved by 4cls and then to be approved by the state). The board needs to sign and approve the Assurances form (which was done during the meeting). We need to get a building permit completed for the town. Jenn has more questions she will ask the town for clarity. The board will require a written contract by the building contractor when the project is set to begin.
• Security Camera: will be installed once the porch project is complete.
• Library sign: pending due to quotes
• Basement repairs: need to buy 4 vents. Helen and Chuck will still help with this repair (its been too hot to do so this summer)
• New Patron Counts: new adult patrons averaged 43 between 2022-2024. Youth patrons have continuously declined (57 in 2022 down to 15 in 2024). We will continue to brainstorm ways to increase youth members.
• Large Print books/DVDs: no trial for DVDs. Sign up late Nov 2025. If this is successful we will do more DVDs that large print.
Director’s report:
• SRP: total attendance: 19 children, 23 adults. First 2 weeks held at legion due to weather. The magician event was very successful.
• Summer Concert: very successful! The board will discuss what to use the donations for in the future.
• Community Fair: This will be September 2nd at the school. The library will have a table set up from 4:30-7. We will have 2 raffle baskets to giveaway (1 elementary and 1 HS). Shelly will be choosing books using the B&N gift cards for the raffle baskets.
