\n\u2022 Christine provided check detail for June and July
\n\u2022 Christine had questions about how to code marketing\/advertising materials (ex: pens, lanyards, magnets). Board agreed to change it from \u201csocial\u201d to \u201ccommunity outreach\u201d
\n\u2022 Christine and Jen will let Gail know when she needs to sign more checks. We currently have plenty signed.
\n\u2022 Looking into paperwork for tax exempt (state needs it filed but doesn\u2019t have the paperwork to file.) We need clarification on this to follow through.
\nOld Business:
\n\u2022 Khan Family Estate: We have not gotten a quote for a new porch. Jenn will speak to Billy at 88BC.
\n\u2022 Library Sign: no additional quotes. Jenn is looking into Whitney Titus Fund to help pay for the sign. We have 1 \u00bd quotes. Need 3 to receive grant
\n\u2022 Employee Evals.: tabled
\n\u2022 Trustee Ideas: still working to find someone.
\n\u2022 New Computer Purchase: installed and working fine.<\/p>\n
Director\u2019s report:
\n\u2022 Summer Program review: 4 programs, attendended well (42 children and 40 adults). Thank you cards for volunteers and presenters. Legion will allow us to use their building for other programs as needed. Lisa said the Didgeridoo program was FANTASTIC!
\n\u2022 Library Clean Up: Linda organized 3 student volunteers and parents to help. Jen got pizza and drinks for volunteers.
\n\u2022 Historical Marker Ceremony review: Great turnout! Covered by Channel 12 and newschannel 34. Jen sent thank you cards.
\n\u2022 Sunday Concert: Beth and Darlene volunteered.
\n\u2022 Author reading at Library: on hold for now
\n\u2022 Book Club, Tech Talk, Art Club: still going well! Will continues into the fall. 10 people are involved in the book club. 5-6 people come for tech talk.
\n\u2022 Late Notices: received some late notices on utilities, Christine is aware. These payments have been taken care of. Set up auto-pay for TDS and would like to set up other companies on autopay. Jenn asked Christine to send her an email when payments have been made for tracking.
\n\u2022 Banned Books Week: This is coming up. Terri will make a display. Staff will use a sticker design to stamp on banned books.
\n\u2022 The Great Giveback: This is a library program across the nation. Library staff are working on ideas. Example: collect items to donate to animal shelters.
\n\u2022 Post-Office Stamp: Jenn worked with the post office to design a canceled stamp to commemorate when the library was established. Post office will look into a way to promote it. It will be released September 14th.<\/p>\n
New Business:
\n\u2022 Gail and Linda will do another B&N Fundraiser. They will try for April 2025.<\/p>\n
